Warranty Policy

General Scope of Coverage

Click Industries Pty Ltd T/A Karoovan warrants to the first registered owner that Karoovan will, at its discretion, replace any genuine parts covered under this warranty that are found to be defective in material or workmanship during the applicable warranty term as specified in the Coverage Chart (Section B), subject to the exclusions listed in Section C.

Each applicable warranty term begins on the date of dealer dispatch. This warranty applies to new genuine parts (“Equipment”) purchased from Karoovan. Karoovan equipment includes guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. The benefits provided by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

B. What is Covered Under Warranty?

Subject to Section C, all parts of new Equipment are covered as per the Coverage Chart below. The warranty includes:

  • Commercial-grade warranty – 3 months parts and labor, plus an additional 9 months for parts only
  • Structural warranty – The drawbar and chassis are covered against fatigue for 12 months from the original date of purchase.
  • Commercial kitchen equipment – Guaranteed under a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

Parts-Only Warranty

After the initial 3-month comprehensive warranty, the remaining warranty period covers only parts, excluding normal replaceable items such as:

  • Vehicle maintenance components (tyres, silicone, rubber seals, bearings, light bulbs, screws, rivets, etc.)
  • The jockey wheel (covered for the first 14 days only). All jockey wheels are brand-new and fit for purpose. If damaged after this period, replacement is the owner’s responsibility. Jockey wheels can be purchased from trailer part retailers like Super Cheap Autos.

C. What is Not Covered Under Warranty? (Exclusions)

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  1. Items purchased for rental, loan, or hire use (warranties are void in these cases).
  2. Products sold at auction, as demonstrators, factory seconds, or used products.
  3. Damage due to abuse, misuse, accidental damage, or modification, including but not limited to:
    • Collision or improper maintenance.
    • Normal wear and tear (e.g., wheel bearings, tyres, paint, rusted stainless steel, door locks).
    • Suspension, wheel nuts, and bearings must be checked before each trip. Bearings must be serviced by an authorized mechanic every 6 months.
  4. No compensation for transport, towing, accommodation, lost business, or spoiled food resulting from a warranty claim, unless explicitly stated in writing by Karoovan.
  5. Cosmetic blemishes are not covered and are the owner’s responsibility.
  6. Fridges and freezers are covered under a 12-month warranty (3 months parts and labor, plus 9 months parts-only). General wear and tear is excluded. Fridges must not be stored in an enclosed space without ventilation for long periods.
  7. Overloading of the trailer, which may cause suspension damage, voids the warranty. The Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) should never be exceeded.
  8. Drilling through trailer panels voids the panel warranty, as it can cause moisture damage and blistering.
  9. Unauthorized modifications or alterations to Equipment
  10. Failures due to normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or negligence.
  11. Maintenance-related components, including tyres, rubber seals, bearings, and lights, are not covered under warranty.
  12. Failures due to non-compliance with the owner’s manual.
  13. Use of the equipment outside reasonable specifications or tolerances.
  14. Use of third-party equipment not purchased through Karoovan.

  22. Overtime labor charges.
  23. Transportation costs for warranty repairs.
  24. Failures not caused by material or workmanship defects.
  25. Silicone maintenance – Silicone degrades over time and must be regularly inspected and replaced. Roof leaks due to silicone wear are not covered.
  26. Support jacks – If found faulty on delivery, must be reported within 14 days. Support jacks are considered wear-and-tear items and require periodic replacement.
  27. Insurance – The purchaser is responsible for insuring the trailer from the point of deposit payment.
  28. Third-party supplier warranties – Some components (e.g., gas equipment) are warranted by third-party suppliers. If a supplier rejects a claim, the cost is the owner’s responsibility.
  29. User error – If a technician attends and finds no fault in workmanship or equipment, the customer is responsible for the service costs. If a defect is found, Karoovan will cover the repairs
